ICC was assigned the rehabilitation of a 3-level parking garage in a Toronto inner neighbourhood. The project consisted of six stages of work, including the complete removal of an old coating system, the application of a final topcoat, and customized line and ceiling painting.

During Phase 1, an Engineer & Project Management Team supervised the construction of a suspended slab parking deck spanning 25,000 sq. ft.

One of the noteworthy aspects of the project is that it utilized as much as 75% recycled materials, with 100% post-consumer aggregates

  • The following advantages were confidently realized:
  • Enhanced lighting efficacy was achieved
  • Minimal to no overpowering scents were present due to low VOCs
  • The criteria for LEED & BOMA certifications were met
  • It was effortless to tidy up and sustain

STAGE 1 – Full removal of expired 60-ml system

STAGE 2 – Surface preparation

Preparation using the mechanical method (sweep and vacuum), and crack repair.

STAGE 3 – Primer coat

STAGE 4 – Base coat and waterproofing

STAGE 5 – Topcoat

Up to three exposures.

STAGE 6 – Customized line and ceiling painting
